Monday

I missed a bumpy Monday

I didn't have a chance to see the market today during trading hours. Some buys were made and stocks were sold via OCO brackets and stops. I see now looking at the days charts we got whipped around pretty good. Really good I'd say!!

This morning I set an OCO bracket on TEVA with the entrance at $41.12, thinking it would have plenty of time to accrue volume if it was to go down and then....Bam, at the open, it shoots down below my trigger point, buys and proceeds up, up and up. The one good thing is it rose on weak volume and seems to be in a short downward channel over all.

In other news, I bought some BBBY mar puts and got stopped out for a small gain at the rally, but wasted a day trade in doing so. ):

Got stopped out of WMT puts for a nice profit in that EOD rally. Both those trades would have been nice to sell into strength before the rally had I had access to my computer, but setting stops did the trick nevertheless.

And finally, I bought some DUG shares at the dip this morning and fared well with those. IMO oil has nowhere to go but down. No one has any money to put gas in their cars, business is at a stand still, the new administration doesn't like it, and there is a boat load of supply.

I am holding DUG, TEVA mar. puts, and JASO over night.

The days of investing in the stock market are over. The entire market is manipulated by government and institutional trading. The funds and banks and big money managers can no longer be trusted, and regular everyday people are wondering why they are paying other people to lose their money for them. It is time for an awakening. Although my original plan was to research companies thoroughly, buy into them and hold steady until signs of weakness and then sell, It has turned instead to a buy and then sell for small profits when I can get them. It works. But the whole romanticism of "The intelligent Investor" is a fantasy.Mi esposa is from Southern Mexico. Grew up near the Mayan ruins on the west coast of Chiapas. (These particular ruins are on the Caribbean side.)
